Yes. Custom-list practice is designed for the exact words assigned by a teacher, tutor, homeschool curriculum, or competition.

What should I do with a list longer than 20 words?

Split a long assignment into groups of up to 20 words if you want to test every word in each group. The app draws a session-sized selection from longer lists, so one round may not cover the whole assignment. Use a separate paper or oral test when you need one complete test of more than 20 words.

How do I enter my own words for a spelling test?

Paste the words into Your spelling words on this page, using one word per line or commas between words. Select Practice my words for a listening-and-typing quiz, or Review flash cards to see the spellings first. The example placeholder is not added to your list.

How many words can I add to a custom spelling list?

You can enter up to 100 unique words. The practice screen offers sessions of 10, 15, or 20 words; if the list is shorter, the session uses the available words. A session drawn from a longer list is a selection, not a test of every word in that list.

Can I practice a custom list without creating an account?

You can enter words and start an available free practice session without signing in. Saving a list to your account requires sign-in and is subject to your plan’s list limits. The practice screen shows whether free sessions remain.

Will my custom words still be there after a refresh?

The page keeps a temporary draft in the current browser tab when browser storage is available, so a refresh can restore it. That draft is not a saved account list and may be lost when the tab closes. Use Save to my account when you want to keep the list.

Can I include apostrophes, hyphens, or repeated words?

Words may contain English letters, straight apostrophes, and hyphens, such as can't or well-known. Use a straight apostrophe when entering contractions. Numbers and multiword phrases are not supported, and repeated entries are included once regardless of capitalization.

Can I share the custom quiz URL with another device?

The URL does not contain your private word list. An unsaved draft stays in its browser tab, so sending the URL alone will not send the words. Save the list to your account and sign in on the other device, or enter the words there separately.
